What inspired your creativity as a child? For me, I went to an imaginary field behind my house to dream!
.
In Masters of Scale’s most recent podcast, former CEO and Chair of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, describes a place of inspiration from her childhood home. In the center of a large room with shiny red floors was a rosewood swing that hung from the ceiling. It was a gathering place for family members, and the kids would swing as high as they could – she remembers swinging and singing for hours!
.
Reid Hoffman, Masters of Scale’s podcast host, builds an analogy with Indra’s childhood swing by explaining that leaders must create an environment that is stimulating and sustaining for every person in the organization. That rosewood swing was the focal point for Indra’s family, a place for interacting, growing, and thriving.

Listen to the podcast. It’s inspiring! Can you build a place of inspiration in your organization?
